Find Your Own Promised Land (Thoughts)

Your personal Eden,

Your personal path to God.

The above words are from a chorus to a song that has been running through my mind in the last few months.

Promised Land – It is what is intended for you and your unique personality and gifts.

Your personal Eden – Your safe place, your personal peace. It doesn’t have to be a place. It can be peacefulness, a sense of being at peace with who you are. `

The Promised Land and your Eden are always there (here) for you to find. You don’t need to wait to find it. It’s not something you need to wait for … like later in life… you just open yourself to it.

Your personal path to God (peace) – The creative peace, strength, energy that is part of you but that you deny or don’t allow to surface.

Sometimes we follow paths in directions away from where our heart and gifts want to take us. We may be pulled from our true path by the need for money, the need to care for family members, our lack of confidence, our inability to recognize our true path, or our inability to let ourselves believe in the value of this path. Someone important to us may be steering us away from this path because he/she does not value its potential to enrich our lives.
