Safety Pins

Sometimes my emotions are held together with safety pins.

Safety pins are good because they hold together seams that have developed small holes that might cause the seam to rip out all together if those safety pins weren't placed there.

It's not wise to try to sew up those seams while they are still being stressed because they would only pop open again.

Safety pins are a much better alternative because they allow the seam to be kind of leaky but still hold together. The leaks allow emotions to express themselves in small amounts here and there, while still keeping those seams together until its the right time to sew them back up again.
